SYDNEY, Aug 30 AAP - An abseiler has head and arm injuries after falling seven metres
onto a rock landing north-west of Sydney, paramedics say.
The 18-year-old man was part of a group abseiling near Vision Valley Road in Arcadia
when he fell onto hard rocks just after 3pm (AEST) today, an Ambulance Service of NSW
spokeswoman said.
He was stabilised and then taken to Westmead Hospital by helicopter, suffering head
and arm injuries.
A second abseiler also fell seven metres but was not injured, a spokesman for the ambulance
service later said.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital by helicopter as a precautionary measure.
